FIRM PROFILE:

Steven Ho Architecture Incorporated, established in 1996, is a progressive firm that provides a broad range of architectural services.

The firm is focusing on churches, commercial/retail, industrial, multi-family residential, schools and senior facilities.

We offer personalized services to satisfy clients in all phases of the project with a proven track record. We strive to maintain close contact with our clients throughout the process that will allow an ongoing dialogue. We work hard to develop positive relationships with the various towns, cities and consultants involved in a project.

Our objective is to achieve unique and creative design, practical and functional buildings, rich in content, in harmony with their setting, and within the clients budget.

Projects have ranged in value from $1 million up to $20 million.

PROJECTS

Admiralty Centre
Richmond, BC
Our role was to act as a Project manager. This is a three storey concrete tilt-up building with retail and office occupancies. The second floor includes 15 food court units. Paul Leong Architect Inc. is the Architect of Record. The center of the building includes a 3-storey atrium with circular skylight. A two level above grade concrete parking structure at the back provides easy access to the building.

Broadway Church
Vancouver, BC
This is a landmark building on E. Broadway and Slogan. A full service religious facility with offices, Sunday school classrooms, as well as a daycare center. It is constructed with concrete and steel with underground parking. Delgatty Architects Inc. is the Architect of Record.

Broadway Seniors
Vancouver, BC
This is a church affiliated seniors facility. The four storey wood frame building has an exterior hallway facing a fully landscaped courtyard, a gazebo and a garden. Delgatty Architects Inc. is the Architect of Record.

Candem Bay Condominium
Sylvan Lake, Alberta
A four storey wood frame building with one level underground parking in the heart of downtown Sylvan Lake. This 84 unit condo has one bed, one bed + den and two bedroom units ranging from 680 sq.ft. to 1,030 sq.ft. Architectural patterns include Colonial Revival, Georgian and Greek Revival. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Candem Inn
Anzac, Alberta
This is a cozy motel near Ft. McMurray in Northern Alberta for the oil industry. A two storey wood frame building with surface parking surrounded by greenery landscaping. 24 guest rooms in a 12,650 sq.ft. building with pre-designed underground domestic water cistern and sewer storage tank. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Cascades of Rainbow Falls
Chestermere, Alberta
This 84 unit townhomes development is located in a triangular 4.79 Acres parcel of land. There are 17 buildings in a grouping of 4, 5 and 6 units. This is a three storey wood frame building with surface parking. Craftsman and Colonial are the two main architectural styles. A park like setting communal space highlights the development. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Cedar Park School
Bothell, Washington, USA
This is a church affiliated and accredited Highschool. A two storey concrete and steel building includes administration offices, classrooms and a multi-use gymnasium. Total building area is 67,870 sq.ft. Delgatty Architects Inc. is the Architect of Record.

Chapel of Resurrection
Bothell, Washington, USA
This is a 3,130 sq.ft. 175 seats wedding chapel and mausoleum. A unique concrete structure with coffer ceiling, Corinthian fluted column, ceramic tile mural and granite veneer. The building provides crypt storage on either side of the chapel to be accessible from the outside. Delgatty Architects Inc. is the Architect of Record.

Corydon Office Proposal
Lake Elsinore, California, USA
Proposed a three storey tilt-up concrete office building. A self-serve storage warehouse in a separate building will be situated on the same parcel.

Delacour Golf Clubhouse
Delacour, Alberta
Proposed a full service 12,000 sq.ft. clubhouse for Delacour Golf Course. Railway station theme is the architectural style throughout. A temporary clubhouse, cart storage, Pro-shop and maintenance building have been built for interim use. This is a wood frame building with detail brackets. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Delgatty Residence
Campbell, California, USA
This is the architect's own residence and studio. The design concept was based on Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water. The building structure is based on a triangular grid. The house includes an artist studio, a falling water and canal feature, a swimming lane pool on the second floor and a tennis court. Delgatty Architects Inc. is the Architect of Record.

First Christian Church
Yuma, Arizona, USA
A full service 63,000 sq.ft. religious campus with offices, Sunday school classroom and a theatrical Sanctuary. This is a tilt-up concrete and steel construction. Future expansion to include a school building, a chapel, a worship centre and a senior residence complex. Delgatty Architects Inc. is the Architect of Record.

Garment Factory
Vancouver, BC
This is a 15,000 sq.ft. four storey building located in the False Creek neighborhood. Concrete and Steel is the major construction type with curtain wall system on the main facade. Secured and covered parking on the main floor with no underground parking due to high water table. The owner occupies the building as a garment factory overlooking Vancouver skyline and The Grouse Mountain.

Garrison Brownstones
Calgary, Alberta
This is a successful project by Sandlewood Developments on previous CFB lands. Each unit has over 2,000 sq.ft. on four levels including a loft and a developed basement. This signature development captures the British “Brownstones” row housing concept. A communal public plaza and a Town Hall is the focal point in this development. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Georgian Villas
Chestermere, Alberta
Truman Homes is the Builder and Developer of this beautiful high end duplex community. Some units have the Living room and Master Bedroom facing the canal in the Rainbow Falls subdivision. A few units are backing onto a nicely landscaped area in the center of the development. Each unit is designed to be 2,000 sq.ft. geared towards retired couples and empty nesters. Wood frame construction, Hardiplank siding and stone base add to the value of the building. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Hugo Boss Edmonton
Edmonton, Alberta
This is a high end fashion retail store at West Edmonton Mall. We are the local consultant and Architect of Record. Some interior fixtures and materials have been imported from Europe. The total area of the store is approx. 1,200 sq.ft. DuToit Architect in Toronto is the Design Consultant.

Karaoke Entertainment Centre
Richmond, BC
This is a stand-alone two storey entertainment building. It's about 15,000 sq.ft. in steel construction. Aluminum panel cladding is the main exterior facade. The building features eye catching shape. VIA Architecture came up with the design concept and Lung Designs Group is the Design Consultant.

Kensington Stonebriar Townhomes
Calgary, Alberta
These are four unit urban townhomes situated in the Kensington infill district. Laurelwood Homes is the builder and developer. This is a wood frame construction with no basement. These three bedroom units are approx. 1,800 sq.ft. each with single car garage and a den on the main floor. The building emphasizes the use of Canmore/mountain theme as architectural feature.

Killarney Stonebriar Townhomes
Calgary, Alberta
Built on the successful Kensington Stonebriar, Laurelwood Homes secured this property in the Killarney neighborhood. Another four units urban townhomes with wood frame construction, Hardiplank siding and stone base. A turret at both ends enhances the character of the building.

Maple Ridge Commercial
Maple Ridge, BC
This is a 3,500 sq.ft. mixed use building with retail on the main floor and two units residential on the upper. The building is constructed with concrete blocks and steel. Parking is behind the building. This is slab on grade without a basement. Designs By Law is the Design Consultant.

Milestone Brownstones
Lethbridge, Alberta
This is a 40 unit townhomes community in Southern Alberta. These are three bedroom units ranging from 1,000 sq.ft. to 1,250 sq.ft. on two levels and a basement with attached one car garage. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Mission Seniors Proposal
Calgary, Alberta
Proposed a four storey 100-bed senior care facility located in the vibrant Mission district. The building plans include a kitchen, dining area, recreation area, general office, a beauty salon and a dentist office. This will be concrete and steel construction with one level underground parking.

Multi Tenant Warehouse
Vancouver, BC
This is a five storey multi-tenant industrial building in False Creek area. Secured parking is located on the main floor. The owner occupies the building as a manufacturing plant and corporate office on the top floor with panoramic views to downtown Vancouver and the mountains beyond. The construction is mainly concrete and steel.

New West Evangelical Free Church
New Westminster, BC
A small church built in the early 90's to serve the local community. This is a wood frame construction with stucco and brick exterior. A two storey stained glass is the focal point in the Sanctuary as well as an architectural feature viewed from the outside. Delgatty Architects Inc. is the Architect of Record.

Oscar Condominium
Calgary, Alberta
A high end 30 units condominium in the Eau Clair district. This eleven storey building has two levels underground parking. The floor to ceiling window wall system maximizes the panoramic view to the city skyline, the Bow River and the Rocky Mountain. The site is extremely challenging due to the proximity to the Bow River. This is a concrete and steel construction with Arriscraft stone and brick at the base. The developer is The Eden Group of Companies.

Prime Commercial Campus
Chestermere, Alberta
This will be a landmark in the Kinniburg North community. A two storey 85,000 sq.ft. commercial building with retail and restaurant on the main floor and professional offices on the second floor. The design is based on Nautical theme as influenced mainly from West Coast Pacific architecture. A lighthouse at the corner is the main architectural feature of the building. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Rainbow Condo Proposal
Chestermere, Alberta
Proposed to design a three storey 20 unit low density condominium. The exterior architectural feature ties in with the adjacent Brownstones Townhomes community. The building has one level underground parking. It will be wood frame construction with Hardiplank siding, brick facade and stucco.

Brownstones of Rainbow Falls
Chestermere, Alberta
These high end townhomes are developed by Lionsworthe Homes. There are a total of 120 units in 7 phases. Each unit is about 1,400 sq.ft. on two levels. It comes with a full open space basement and a detached two car garage. The development sets a higher architectural standard with wood frame construction, Hardiplank siding, brick facade, stucco and ornamental details. All units are street facing with curb appeal. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Chalet of Rainbow Falls
Chestermere, Alberta
This project is a challenge to develop 21 units on a compact site. Each unit is wood frame construction, about 1,500 sq.ft. on two levels. It comes with two car tandem parking on the main floor. The exterior architectural feature ties in with the adjacent Brownstones Townhomes community. Lionsworthe Homes is the developer and Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

Edmonton, Alberta
This high end fashion retail store is located in Manulife Building downtown Edmonton. We are the local consultant and Architect of Record. Some interior fixtures and materials have been imported from Europe. The total area of the store is approx. 2,000 sq.ft. DuToit Architect in Toronto is the Design Consultant.

Retail Strip Mall Proposal
Calgary, Alberta
Proposed to develop a strip mall in Applewood district. Two storey building with retail and restaurant on the main floor and professional offices on the second floor. Optional Hotel option provided which would share with retail and office occupancies.

SoHo Condo Proposal
Calgary, Alberta
Proposed to design a five storey 28 units condominium in modern contemporary architectural style with Arriscraft stone and stucco. Two penthouse units on the top floor reduce the massing of the building and create a large open roof top deck.

SoHo Suites Condominium
Calgary, Alberta
This is a 33 unit four storey building with one level underground parking. The unit size ranges from 540 sq.ft. to 960 sq.ft. and urban living in open studio to two bedroom and den. This is wood frame construction with stucco and brick facade. There is a small garden at the SE corner of the building for enjoyment.

South Valley Christian Church
San Jose, California, USA
Proposed to design a full service religious facility on a sloped site. The building includes a Sanctuary, offices, classrooms and a school wing connected by a three storey atrium. This will be a concrete and steel construction. Delgatty Architects Inc. is the Design Consultant.

Stonebriar at Wintergreen Estate
Bragg Creek, Alberta
This high end residence is a two storey Executive home nested in the forest with stucco and brick facade. A three car garage facing sideway blends the massing with the house. A turret, front courtyard and various architectural details enhance the quality of this 5,000 sq.ft. house.

Royal Villas Condominium
Surrey, BC
Proposed to design a twelve storey mid-rise condominium with townhomes at the base. A contemporary concrete glass and steel building with two levels of underground parking. A waterfall, open courtyard, recreation facility, meeting room and visitor suite are among the features in this development. The building is surrounded by a park like greenery setting with an active creek running across the site. The development includes 35 townhome units on the south side. Marca Architecture Inc. is the Design Consultant.

Sussex Green
Calgary, Alberta
A high end townhome community in the Strathcona district. There are 24 units in this 4.8 Acres of land with ravine and regional pathways. The buildings are grouped into 2, 3 and 4 units. Each unit is about 5,000 sq.ft. on two storey plus a developed basement. Sandlewood Development is the builder. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.

The Bentley Condominium
Calgary, Alberta
Proposed to design a four storey wood frame condominium in the Mount Royal community. There are 36 units ranging from one bedroom to three bedroom and one level underground parking. The penthouse level has a high ceiling with a loft overlooking the living area. The turret and the ornamental details enhance the architectural quality to the building.

A series of high end townhome project by Sandlewood Development on previous CFB lands. Vogue Condominium
Calgary, Alberta
This is a 30 unit four storey building with one level underground parking. There is an open courtyard and waterfall feature in the middle of the building. The exterior hallway opens to the open courtyard. Each unit has front and back windows. It is a wood frame building with stucco and brick facade. The developer is The Eden Group of Companies.

Whiteday Wedding
New Westminster, BC
A wedding consultant occupies a historical bank building. A historic preservation consultant was on board to make sure the exterior of the building was kept as close to the original form. The main floor is an open studio with display of wedding gowns and private rooms. The second floor is mainly offices and storage. The total building area is about 5,000 sq.ft. Lung Designs Group is the Design Consultant.

Winchester Villas
Ft. McMurray, Alberta
This is a 72 unit townhome community Northern Alberta. These are 3 bedroom units ranging from 1,000 sq.ft. to 1,250 sq.ft. on two levels and a basement with attached garage. This is a wood frame construction with vinyl siding and crezone board. Tricor Design Group is the Design Consultant.
